The Russian School of Mathematics (RSM), is located at 200 Wells Ave. in Newton, Massachusetts, in the United States. It is designed as an after school program that provides mathematical education for children attending K–12 of both private and public schools. The school is meant as a place where children can both improve on their studies of mathematics and advance in their learning beyond the school curriculum. The founders of RSM are Inessa Rifkin along with co-founder Irene Khavinson. The focus of RSM is primarily mathematics, however art and SAT English classes are also offered. The high school level classes offer preparation for standardized tests such as the SAT, SAT II and AP exams. The school also runs two separate summer math camp programs: an overnight camp in New Hampshire and a day camp in Newton, MA. New RSM branches have recently been opened in Santa Clara, California and Louisville, Kentucky. An RSM affiliate has also recently been opened in Southborough, Massachusetts under the name of MetroWest School of Mathematics.
