Russell Hookey

Russell Hookey is a radio and television journalist and broadcaster working in the United Kingdom and Channel Islands - born in the UK, 1974.

In recent years he has worked within the ITV network as a regional reporter and presenter for ITV Channel Television and ITV Border as well as occasionally reporting nationally for ITN.

Previously he worked extensively in commercial radio in the South of England before moving to the BBC's regional services including Radio Solent, Berks, Oxford, Southern Counties and Kent.

He spent several years with London media company Chrysalis broadcasting on LBC 97.3, LBC News 1152 & Heart 106.2 alongside Sandi Toksvig, Bonnie Langford, Jonno Coleman, James O'Brien (LBC), Pat Sharp and Toby Anstis.

Other work includes a spell with Britt Allcroft, the company behind children's TV favourites Thomas The Tank Engine, Sooty and Art Attack, which latterly became Gullane Entertainment.
