Russell Nelson (born 1967) is an Australian Human Engineer.
Nelson was born in Singapore. He is best known for his initiatives in the Australian workers' compensation and injury management area. He initially commenced these concepts whilst State Manager with the Insurance Giant Allianz Australia, and as a result remapped the Workers Compensation in the Northern Territory. Henceforth, he became General Manager of Injury Management Coordinators and introduced his systems to other Australian States. His Proactive Injury Management models are now utilised by many high risk employers around Australia and mostly prevalent in the mining and offshore oil industries. Although his systems have proven successful in various legislative environments, there are sections of traditionalist rehabilitation industry, which are adversely reactive to his work.
