Russell Downing

Russell Downing (August 23, 1978) is an English bicycle racer, specializing in road cycling. He was the British National Road Race Champion in 2005. He currently rides for the Health Net Pro Cycling Team team. He is the younger brother of fellow cyclist Dean Downing.

Downing ran into Visa problems during mid-2007 and was unable to travel to America to join his team and during that time he performed in some British Premier Calendar races and took victory in the Richmond GP.

For the 2008 season, he will ride for the British Pinarello RT team.
