Russell Country Federal Credit Union

Russell Country Federal Credit Union is a federally insured, 45 million dollar, 10,842 member, community charter, natural person, federal credit union operating from four branches in north-central Montana. The headquarters are in Great Falls, Montana. The credit union results from the merger of four credit unions over a 20 year period. It is the fourth-largest (and fourth oldest) credit union in Great Falls, Montana.[1]

Russell Country Federal Credit Union was originally chartered in 1946 in Great Falls, Montana. Represented by the merger of four area credit unions over a period of 20 years, the name “Russell Country” was approved by the NCUA and adopted on April 6, 1999. Credit unions merged into Russell Country FCU include:

  • Great Falls Government Employees FCU
Served employees of the US Government who work in Chouteau, Liberty, Pondera, Teton, and Cascade counties; several small employee groups; and residents within a 22-mile radius of Fairfield, MT.[2][3]
  • MANG FCU
Served Montana Air National Guard

Individuals living, working, or attending school in the following Montana counties are eligible for Russell county FCU membership: Cascade County, Montana, Teton County, Montana, Chouteau County, Montana. Employees of Russell Country FCU's Select Employer Groups (SEGs), and all immediate family members of current members are also welcome to join.
