Russ Altman

Russ Biagio Altman, MD, PhD, is a professor at Stanford University Medical School where he is chair of the department of Bioengineering and director of the program in Bioinformatics. He is a past president and one of the founding members of the International_Society_for_Computational_Biology.

He is also an attending physician at Menlo Park, California, and is the principal investigator for the PharmGKB knowledgebase[1].

In February 2006, Dr. Altman gave a presentation at Google, in which he explained the opportunities for Pharmacogenomics[2].

In August 2007, Dr. Altman was interviewed by Kromosoft, in which he discussed the emerging trends in pharmacogenomics[3].
