Children sit on the side of a hill near a church and bell-tower in the countryside near White Lake, in the north of European Russia.

I believe including the photo of Russians in the relevant article for educational purposes is the fair use as perceived by the Prints and Photographic Division of The Library of Congress, [1]. In addition, the pictures were made (and probably published) by a Russian photographer in the beginning of the XXth century which could make them eligible for the "pre-1923" LOC's clause. ilgiz 18:03, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
