"Ruptured Heart Theory" was the first (and currently, only) single released by sludge metal band Eyehategod on 7" vinyl in 1994. The song was later included on their 1996 album Dopesick, and the song and both its B-sides appeared as bonus tracks on the 2006 Century Media reissue of Eyehategod's preceding 1993 second album, Take as Needed for Pain (during the recording sessions for which, these tracks were recorded), as well as the rarities collection Southern Discomfort, released January 25, 2000. The record has a total playing time of 10 minutes exactly. "Blank/Shoplift" is an amalgamation of two tracks ("Blank" and "Shopift") which had previously appeared on the aforementioned Take as Needed for Pain.
