[edit] Re: Pokémon article
I didn't delete your talkpage comment, I just moved it to the bottom of the Talkpage per discussion conventions (new topics should be posted at the bottom). As for the edits to the article itself, if it's the ones I'm thinking of, I cited three Wikipedia guidelines (all non negotiable) which supported said removal, and furthermore explained it on the Talkpage. Go ahead and take a look before replying. --Stratadrake 00:50, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
- PS, another rule of thumb for Talkpages is that you should generally not remove comments (even your own) from a discussion page, because even if the comment is undesired, it's still important that other users can see it so they can properly see how the discussion following it unfolded. --Stratadrake 03:09, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Tropical Magik
A tag has been placed on Tropical Magik, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. BlackBear 23:50, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy
Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:
- Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
- Make your case on the article's talk page.
Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. BlackBear 23:58, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy
Do not remove speedy tags from articles. Administrators will make the final decision. Removal of speedy tags is considered vandalism, according to Wikipedia's policy. Thank you. BlackBear 00:00, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Talk:Tropical Magik
According to the talk page, it sounds like you want to keep the article on Wikipedia. You should follow the instructions to contest the deletion on the tag. BlackBear 00:04, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Contest
I did it for you; administration will review the article shortly and determine whether it should stay on Wikipedia or not. BlackBear 00:10, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] You're Welcome
You're welcome. But do not recreate the article, as that is also considered vandalism. If administration deletes the article, but you still believe it is notable, you can work with administration to find out if there's a way to format your article that would let you keep the article. If or if not, good luck editing! It's hard to first come into Wikipedia, but you'll find stuff that you didn't know existed, and it'll get easier. My calling was reverting vandalism via Special:Recentchanges and Special:Newpages, and WP:PGH. Good luck! BlackBear 00:16, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Administration
Well, actually, administration is just a fancy term for users that have been granted special powers (namely, blocking people and deleting articles). Administrators are just regular users, that have made important contributions, and earned themselves a spot. I might run someday... However, one prominent administrator, that I like personally, is Irishguy. He is helpful, and usually tries to help, rather than reading off policy jargon. BlackBear 00:22, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RFA
I wish to run for adminship, and, I hope this isn't too much to ask of you, but I was wondering if I could have a brief quote that would describe my contributions to Wikipedia. Thanks for considering. BlackBear 01:08, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- Just leave a brief statement on my talk page, describing my contributions, or whatever, and I'll take care of the rest. Thank you SO much for doing this, as I have been thinking about doing this for a long time. Thank you!!! (By the way, you can sign your post by leaving four tildes (~).) BlackBear 01:13, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Promote
All articles will eventually appear on a search engine. It just takes a few minutes to a few hours. I thought the same thing about my first article, but it will eventually show up. I bet if you search your username right now, it will come up. BlackBear 01:42, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
May I also warn you of our Wikipedia:No personal attacks policy, especially after this. -- Netsnipe ► 19:50, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Nice job
Hi, good work tagging Lyle Wesley Baker for deletion and a friendly note to the creator, too. I see it done badly by others so often, I thought I should mention when I see someone do it well! Peace, delldot talk 02:17, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, I completely know what you're talking about. Folks run short on patience, especially when they've done it so much they're like "for the love of god, how could you not know that that fails to meet WP:CORP?!" But of course people aren't going to know until they've been given a chance to learn, so I commend your kindness to the new users. Peace, delldot talk 02:24, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Kyle Key
I'm not quite finished yet, when I'm done it will conform to Wikipedia's standards. Thanks.
[edit] Violation of WP:SOCK
Runningcupcake03, the evidence at Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/runningcupcake03 shows that you've violated WP:SOCK by using the account User:secondontheroad to recreate the delted article Tropikal Magik. Since you already got an autoblock because of secondontheroad's block ([1]), I will not block you, but you are strongly cautioned to be aware of the sockpuppet policy (WP:SOCK) and not to violate it again. --Akhilleus (talk) 03:04, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- Runningcupcake03, thanks for your apology, and good luck with the vandal fighting. We can always use more vandal fighters! Feel free to ask me for help if you find you need it. --Akhilleus (talk) 15:19, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
I'll go and fix psychobiology... Wise King Otto 03:13, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Talbot County Public Schools
I would suggest waiting more than 2 minutes after someone writes an article before you not only nominate it for deletion but nominate it for speedy deletion. For all you know they had to leave the article for an important reason and planned to come back to finish it at another time. If I were you and were concerned it wasn't going to be expanded, I would watch the page and come back within a more reasonable time limit than 2 minutes and re-evaluate. If it hasn't been expanded, go ahead! Postcard Cathy 02:01, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WP:CVU status
The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you!
