[edit] Wikipedia

Your page Livejournal mindmap is nominated for speedy deletion due to its first-person writing and character of original research, rather than information of documented fact. Please refer to Wikipedia guidelines on the writing of articles. Djcartwright 04:57, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Ryūlóng 07:49, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

I did not intend to remove said tags. It happened while I was updating simultaneous pages.I will eat you alive www.livejournal.com/users/realityvortex 18:48, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

Please do not alter the deletion template so that no reason is shown or use a hangon and then put the reason on the article. Ryūlóng 07:53, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

I do intend to give reasons.I will eat you alive www.livejournal.com/users/realityvortex 18:48, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Do so on the talk pages, then. Ryūlóng 07:54, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
direct me to said talk pages, then.I will eat you alive www.livejournal.com/users/realityvortex 18:48, 1 October 2006 (UTC)
Go to the articles (if they haven't been deleted yet) and click on "Discussion". There, you can make your case as to why the articles should not be deleted, after you place {{hangon}} on the article's page. Then, an admin will come along and see your reasoning. Ryūlóng 07:58, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi. Seems that a lot of what you're adding is content from [1]. I'm sure you mean well given the care with which you're laying these out, but it's a violation of copyright. You can write about the subject in your own words. - Lucky 6.9 08:09, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

I cite everything I take. I'm not violating any copyright. And I do write in my own words thank you.all my articles are now gone. the reason? violation of copyright they said. They didn't even mention is as the thread was being deleted. all they said was this: The given reason is: it is an article about a band, singer, musician, or musical ensemble that does not assert the importance or significance of the subject. Which is BS, because I clearly did. And I cited whatever I took. I'm not dumb. They seem to think I am. And they don't give me any answers.I will eat you alive www.livejournal.com/users/realityvortex 18:48, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I saw your comment at LJ

I hope you don't mind, but I'd rather answer here. I've read over the deleted Cloud cult article, and it does appear to be a copyright violation. You can't lift someone else's words and drop them straight into a Wikipedia article, even if you do cite the source. The information needs to be re-written in your own words. I'm seeing many many phrases that come directly from the Cloud Cult website. It's certainly ok to quote a short passage from a source, but the bulk of the article actually was written by the website author.

The problem with the LiveJournal Mindmap article is that most of it appears to be what Wikipedia refers to as "original research." By that, I mean that the bulk of the article consists of things that people have written in their blogs. You might read over the page about original research to get an idea of what I'm talking about. Joyous! | Talk 15:23, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

This is just confusing. Especially the NO ORIGINAL RESEARCH thing wikipedia's got going on. Care to explain?

[edit] Livejournal mindmap

Please review Wikipedia:No original research. Your article does not meet our standards. Owen× 18:37, 1 October 2006 (UTC) That's bullshit. All my reasearch was original. I will eat you alive www.livejournal.com/users/realityvortex 18:48, 1 October 2006 (UTC) "All my research was original" -- exactly. The Wikipedia:No original research policy say just that: no original research. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 18:54, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Entry

If you want to contact me about an entry, or any other editor, just put it on my talk page instead of asking where you can ask me about it. If it's about "Livejournal mindmap", though, don't bother. Djcartwright 19:40, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

There's Cloud Cult one, well three, but they've all been deleted either for original research or copyright violation. Except one. I'll post it if you ask me.I will eat you alive www.livejournal.com/users/realityvortex 05:12, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
No thanks. I really don't want anything to do with an original research or copyright-infringing article. Djcartwright 07:50, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Signature

By the way, I would recommend that you trim your signature to something manageable. That's just absurd. Djcartwright 01:24, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Cluck1.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Cluck1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 09:05, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
