From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Welcome!
Welcome to Wikipedia, RunOrDie! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk Pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? :)
I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a nice day. Sincerely, Acetic Acid 05:46, August 24, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] vandalism patrol
Hi RunOrDie, I've noticed you reverting a lot of vandalism. Thanks! One thing, though. The criterion for speedy deletion about "nonsense" is actually quite restrictive. It only applies to things that are literally unreadable, like "EWH SDJ@ DFSDFOjjsij". An article like Penguin Prostitutes has a lot wrong with it, but it's not "nonsense" by that definition, and it doesn't qualify for speedy deletion. (I think it's actually a copyright violation from one of those emails that get forwarded all over the place.) Anyway, thanks again for your anti-vandalism! FreplySpang (talk) 02:34, August 25, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] False Information!
You can explain why this post was removed! This post contains information designed to protect consumers from this company and the false information they are providing about their product! Do you even use Realbasic! I want you to prove that any of this information is wrong! Want evidence of the user complaints I listed then visit Real Software's feedback system (which they did not put in their artcle) and search for "Realbasic: IDE: not listed". Want proof of the other statements then I have screen shots of RB in any version you would like. So you consider informing consumers about the problems people have with this company and its product vandalism? I didn't relaize Wikopedia was here to provide free advertising for Real Software.
Please prove anything I have said is wrong! If you want the sentance concerning a boycott gone because thats my personal request, but the rest is going to stay as its fact.
"Wikipedia isn't your personal bashing ground."
Yes, it the place for facts, so what facts are incorrect in my post? Please tell me, or don't you know because you dont even use RB?
Does RB use a Mac interface? No! (That's even confirmed in RS own information). What a complete and utter dumbass!
Nice how you edited my message, just goes to show you what type of Nazi you really are.
Your statement that the article was greatly modified is false. I simply added information to the article and left the previous content intact with my first edit. However, this additional content was removed. If you are not going to let others add facts to this article then it needs to removed.
Lets see, Does RB 2005 run on Classic? No, check RS's won web site.
Want proof of the remaining statements then look at RB 2005 and 5.5.5!
[edit] Vandal tags
Thank you for reverting vandalism on Wikipedia!
Be sure to put warning tags on the vandal's user talk page (such as {{subst:test}}
, {{subst:test2}}
, {{subst:test3}}
, {{subst:test4}}
). Add each of these tags on the vandal's talk page, in sequential order, after each instance of vandalism. Adding warnings to the talk page assists administrators in determining whether or not the user should be blocked. If the user continues to vandalize pages after you add the {{subst:test4}}
tag, request administrator assistance at Request for Intervention. Again, thank you for helping to make Wikipedia better. —Tobias Bergemann 10:34, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
- I noticed you were reverting some linkspam. There are warning tags for this type of vandalism as well. Don't forget to place the warnings so we have good reason to block the vandals. Wikipedia:WikiProject Spam has some more info on linkspam. The first warning for spam is {{subst:spam}}. Mrtea (talk) 06:33, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Babe Ruth
I'm posting this message on you Talk Page either because you've contributed to the article Babe Ruth, or because you've edited other baseball or sports related articles. I've recently completed a revision of this article at Babe Ruth/rewrite. If you have the time, I'd appreciated it if you'd compare the articles and leave any feedback you might have on the rewrite discussion page. I'd like to reach a consensus before makeing major changes to the main article. Thanks for your help. --djrobgordon 20:24, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
