Talk:Run (cricket)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Are you people crazy? Who could possibly understand what it means to score a run in cricket given what you have said here? How would you like it if I described a run in baseball as "when a player cirumscribes the line of the bags." Shouldn't the description be something more like "when a player touches a series of objective locations, known as bases, in the proper order, finishing with the home base." Given that an unnamed unseen line described as imaginary (the one between the center stumps) is central in this sport, inducing incomprehension is probably an appropriate approach to any article about cricket. In that case, the writers are not crazy, they're just doing a good job.
