Runcorn East railway station serves the eastern suburbs of Runcorn in Cheshire, England.
[edit] Services & Station Infomation
The station is served by the hourly Arriva Trains Wales service to Manchester Piccadilly via Warrington Bank Quay. In the other direction services run to Chester, with most trains continuing along the North Wales Coast Line to Llandudno or Holyhead. The 1 mile 125 yard long Sutton tunnel is just west of the station. The station is currently staffed during the morning 7.00am untill 12.00pm.
The station was formally adopted by the North Cheshire Rail Users group on the 16th May 2008, under the Arriva Trains Wales Adopt a Station Initative.
Arriva is currently looking into the possiblity of installing scrolling infomation screens on the platforms, with train running infomation. (Site Survey was carried out on the 30/05/2008)
Nearby Runcorn railway station serves trains to Crewe & Liverpool.
