Runa Laila (Bengali: রুনা লায়লা) is a popular singer of Bangladeshi origin. Although in her home country, she is best known for her pop songs, she is a very well-known Ghazal singer in the rest of South Asia. She did playback for many movies in Bangladesh and India and, before the independence of Bangladesh, in Pakistan. She is especially known for her song "Dama Dam Mast Qalandar", which has been covered by numerous artists. As for her personal life, Runa has been married twice, most recently in 2006 to the Bangladeshi film actor Alamgir. His movies are specially widely popular all over Bangladesh.
