Run & Hide was the German entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005, performed in English by Gracia.
As Germany is a member of the "Big Four" (along with Spain, France and the United Kingdom), the song had pre-qualified for the final of that year's Contest - Germany had also finished in the top ten at the previous Contest, had that been required. Thus, the song was performed seventeenth on the night (following Ukraine's GreenJolly with Razom Nas Bahato, Nas Ne Podolaty and preceding Croatia's Boris Novković with Vukovi Umiru Sami). At the close of voting, it had received 4 points, placing 24th (last) in a field of 24.
With lyrics by Bernd Meinunger (under the pseudonym John O'Flynn) the song is a heavy rock number, with Gracia telling a former lover that "You'd better run and hide" and that she's sick of wasting her money and time on him.
The song's poor placing was one of the reasons for a debate over the merits of the "Big Four", as these four countries finished the Contest in the bottom four places - but still had automatic entry to the next final.
It was succeeded as German representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 by Texas Lightning with No No Never.
