Rumi (born November 29, 1980) is a Persian-Canadian Singer-songwriter and a Photographer who is currently based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Rumi first went public with his music in September 2005 with the release of his debut album "Winning Card" through EMI in Middle East and North Africa. He created a big buzz, topping the radio and TV charts with his upbeat crossover catchy tunes and was even recognized by media to be the first breakthrough artist in the mainstream market with his unique style of Persian-Crossover music. However the sales did not seem as great as the buzz he created in the media.
Rumi's music has been attracting fans in Europe as well as Canada and the USA, even though his debut album has never been released in those territories yet.
Rumi has exhibited his photography work in places like Dubai, London and Vancouver. "Beauty of Nothing" is a title of his first Poetry-Photography book which was first released in September 2004 in Dubai, UAE.
