TV.com summary

Rules of Engagement is a sitcom that debuted on CBS on February 5, 2007, as a midseason replacement, immediately following Two and a Half Men, in the time slot that was occupied by The New Adventures of Old Christine. The series is produced by Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions and is distributed by Sony Pictures Television. After a successful first season, it was renewed for a second season, which began airing on Monday, September 24, 2007.

Production on the show was halted on November 6, 2007 due to the 2007 Writers' Strike.[1] However, once the strike ended, CBS announced that the show would return April 14, 2008 with 6 episodes.[2] On May 13, 2008 CBS renewed the series for a third season, which will begin airing midseason.
