The name Ruländer stands for
- Pinot Grigio, a white wine grape variety.
Pinot Grigio grapes used for the wine variant Ruländer (traditional made in Germany and Romania) are very ripe and therefore very sweet, partially in a special state of decay that reduces the water content and maximizes the sugar content in the grapes. The resulting wine is extraordinarily aromatic and sweet.
