The Rugby-Bundesliga is the highest level of Germany's Rugby union league system.

The first Rugby-Bundesliga was first played in two divisions in the 1971/72 season and soon consisted of eight teams in the North and eight teams in the South. However, of the eight south teams five were located in Heidelberg and after 1975 all North teams were from Hannover.

There are currently eight teams in the national league, these are:

  • Heidelberger RK
  • RG Heidelberg
  • DRC Hannover
  • RK Heusenstamm
  • SC Neuenheim
  • TSV Handschuhsheim
  • SC Frankfurt
