Wetstraat (Dutch) or Rue de la Loi (French) is a famous street in Brussels running from the Schuman Square (Schuman Rond Point) to the Koningsstraat/Rue Royale almost in the centre of Brussels. Translated it means Law Street. The term Wetstraat or Rue de la Loi is often used in the Belgian media because not only the Belgian parliament is at the end of this street, but also the office of the prime minister at number 16.
At the beginning of the street, at number 200 close to Schuman Square, Berlaymont, the head office of the European Commission is located. Opposite of the Berlaymont (number 175) is the Justus Lipsius building in which the European Council resides.
