User talk:Rudywood

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It is felt that the article you created at List of Christian authors is not suitable for a Wikipedia article, which must have a notable subject and be verifiable. I have moved it to User:Rudywood, which is where users are free to write about themselves. You are at liberty to move it back into the (Main) namespace but bear in mind that if you do so, it is likely to be nominated for deletion.

Note, however, that the purpose of a user page is to enable active editors of Wikipedia to introduce themselves to other editors. Wikipedia is not a general hosting service, so your user page is not a personal homepage. Content unrelated to Wikipedia or its editing is likely to be removed.

Please see the user page guidelines, especially this section for more information. -- RHaworth 07:59, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

As for Ruth Woods, since you placed a copyright notice on it, I have tagged it as a copyvio - everything here must be released under the GFDL.

I am sorry, you may well feel I have made a concerted attack on your contributions. Another view and it is my view, is simply that I have been thorough - you have come to Wikipedia to publicise yourself and your writings. Advertising is not allowed here. Vanity is not allowed here. Wait until you are notable enough for someone to write an article about you. I am sorry - you have your own website - be satisfied with that. -- RHaworth 08:17, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Ruth_woods.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ruth_woods.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see User talk:Carnildo/images. 19:40, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] MfD Nomination

I've nominated your user page for deletion under the Miscellany for deletion process, since you have made few or no edits outside of your user page since you created it. User pages are intended for the use of active Wikipedia editors to aid them in their work. Your page seems intended to use Wikipedia as a free webhost or promotional service, which Wikipedia is not.

We appreciate editor contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that your user page belongs here. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Skifdank. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of the page during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Miscellany for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. --Calton | Talk 05:23, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
