Two Seconds is an indie rock band from San Rafael, California formed in 2005. The band consists of Sierra Frost on lead vocals and guitar, with Lily Faden supplying background vocals and drums. Their sound is notable for the exclusion of a bass guitar, similar to contemporary acts such as The White Stripes and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Two Seconds is also recognized for its members' young ages; both Sierra and Lily were only 15 when they formed the band.

[edit] History
Two Second's origins date back to early 2005, when then 14-year-old Sierra Frost was attempting to put together a band. The band went through various incarnations under names such as Mr. Pididiot and The Retrospecs. However, in August 2005, Sierra recorded a demo at the locally renowned PopSmear Studios under the name Two Seconds with drummer Peaceman. He was eventually replaced by current drummer Lily Faden.
With the new lineup in place, Two Seconds returned to PopSmear Studios in November 2005 to record their debut album. These sessions earned the band a record deal with the studio's associated label, PopSmear Records, known for Bay Area bands such as Tragedy Andy and the late Locale A.M. Two Seconds began to build a local following by playing shows at venues like Verge in San Rafael and the now defunct iMusicast, as well as promoting themselves through their MySpace page.
Their music caught the attention of radio station Live 105's music director, Aaron Axelson, who feature their single "Steadfast Kickdrum" on the station's Soundcheck program in February 2006. Two Seconds released their first album, To Pass The Time, on February 24. They were invited to perform live on Soundcheck on March 5, 2006. During the program, they learned that they had been invited to open for The Subways at Slim's on March 27. Following the sold-out gig, Two Seconds continued playing successful local shows, sharing the stage with such acts as Street To Nowhere and DESA. Most notably, they performed as part of San Francisco's Noise Pop Festival, playing with Smoosh at Cafe du Nord on April 2.
In late May 2006, Two Seconds began recording the follow-up to To Pass The Time. The first single from the still untitled album, "Make A Run For It," premiered on Live 105 on June 8. The album is slated for release in late summer/early fall 2006.
Two Seconds will be playing the local stage at Live 105's BFD festival on June 10, 2006.
