Since there was no existing article about Snellius on Wikipedia, I posted what I could to get something up here. There is very little about Snellius in English on the web. Most of my information (as cited) comes from the brief sketch of Snellius in Carl Bang's excellent book on Arminius. I hope others will add and emend where necessary.
