Rudolf Kehrer

Rudolf Kehrer (de) (July 10, 1923 -) is a much-recorded German classical pianist.

Kehrer was born in Tiflis, Georgia to a family of piano-makers who had emigrated from Swabia, Germany.

His recording career lasted for over 40 years (1961-2001) in many diverse locations, including Moscow, Kiev, Weimar, Remagen, Eggenberg, Munich, Berlin, Jena, Szeged, Prague, Cologne, Meppen, Busch, Montabaur, Tokyo, Alsfeld, Overath and Eisenach.

An extensive collection of his recordings is preserved in the Rudolf Kehrer Archive in Overath.

Kehrer now resides in Zürich, Switzerland.
