Reverend Jean Rudasumbwa, whose name [Rudasumbwa] literally means "The Great Man" in the local language, is renown Rwandan evangelical personality born on June 14,1956.

Rudasumbwa alongside Rev Faustin Ntamushobora and Missionary Gary Sheer are the founders of Rwanda's New Creation Ministries which exists: "to help the Rwandese church function as the Body of Christ and to develop ministries that strengthen and enable the Rwandese church to be Jesus’ voice, hands, and feet to the people of Rwanda".

Following his famous sermons on Faith that Moves Mountains taken from the Holly Bible (Mathew 17.14-21) and his own life experiences , Jean has been branded "Mr Faith" by most of his church members, colleagues, and friends. One of his children is named Kwizera (which means faith in Kinyarwanda).

Rudasumbwa was Rwanda Country Director of Campus Crusade for Christ International during the 1994 Rwanda civil unrest and was instrumental in saving many lives of people dying of cholera in refugee camps.

On regular basis, "Mr Faith" gives talks in local and regional conferences on his favorite topic- Faith that moves mountains-Family Care and Christian Ethics.

His many years of service with The Association des Eglises Baptistes au Rwanda(AEBR) saw him planting numerous churches in the most remote areas of the country, a Baptist Bible College in the former province of Butare and the present Gary Sheer Secondary School in Rusatira were initiated by Rudasumbwa and his wife Therese to serve as focal point for education and training to local communities and members of the newborn churches.

Rudasumbwa holds a Bachelors Degree in Bible and Theology from Pan Africa Christian University and a Masters Degree in Christian Education from Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology.

Other trainings include the Billy Graham International Conference for Itinerant Evangelists ( Amsterdam1986)and The Great Commission Missionaries training.

Jean is married to Therese N. Rudasumbwa and together they have eight children all of whom have demonstrated musical talents. He fluently speaks English, French and many other African languages. He also knows Hebrew and Greek with varying levels of fluency.

He lives a humble life in a Kigali suburb.
