[edit] Downtown Ruckersville

Downtown Ruckersville includes many places to eat and shop, many of which are family run businesses. Among these are:

The Antiquers Mall: This large, brand new building is hard to miss. The Antiquers mall is a place where small antiquers can sell their rare collections of valuables, some from the 1800s to 1900s.

The Antique Store: A little store off Route 33, with many antiques and items from the Civil War, Korean War, World War I, World War II, and many other wars. Located in a red barn-like building.

In 2007, it was announced that Ruckersville will be the site of a new Walmart Supercenter.

[edit] Ruckersville Parkway

In 2005, a pair of veterans of the local political scene proposed a road that would connect Ruckersville to Charlottesville, a sort of unofficial, mid-speed bypass of the crowded streets of Charlottesville. However, objections from residents and planners quashed the proposal, which had been dubbed the "Ruckersville Parkway."[1]
