Salmonberries: "insipid"?? As a native of the Puget Sound region, I grew up munching on salmonberries. They're a good and plentiful snack in a pinch. I admit, at best, they are mostly flavorless, and at worst, they can get pretty bad. But to generalize with the term insipid? I hardly think that's appropriate!
