I rewrote this article without adding much more content. Hopefully it is better. It would be helpful or interesting to have some reaction that Rb2O distinctively well vs RbOH. The hydrogenation is one reaction. Possibly Rb2O is used in glasses. Its solid state structure merits mention. --Smokefoot 23:21, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
