Baron Ruber is a fictional character in the Warner Bros film Quest for Camelot, voiced by Gary Oldman.

Ruber was once a knight of King Arthur but he desired the throne of Camelot for himself. He tried to kill Arthur but the brave Sir Lionel defended the king. In a rage Ruber murders the brave knight and once again attacks Arthur. However, using Excalibur, Arthur beats Ruber back, Ruber vows revenge, "One day that sword will be in my hand, and all will be mine!" Ruber flees Camelot.

Years later he has his pet griffin steal Excalibur, although the theft is bungled and the sword is dropped into the Forbidden Forest. Ruber uses a potion to transform his followers into an army of "iron men with hands of steel" and prepares to recover Excalibur and attack Camelot. However his plans are foiled by Lionel's daughter Kayley and her blind lover Garett. Ruber however does manage to gain entrance to Camelot and attack the king once more. However Kayley hears Ruber talking about Lionel to Arthur and how he killed him. Kayley slams a wooden beam into Ruber, launching him out of the window, and she is trapped by him when she follows. Garett attempts to strike Ruber from behind with his staff, but Ruber blocks the attack and throws Garett to Kayley. Ruber, armed with Excalibur (quite literally: he has used his potion to fuse Excalibur to his wrist, replacing his right hand), closes in for the kill. When he is about to strike, the two lovers move aside and Ruber accidentally plunges Excalibur back into the stone. The power of the stone kicks in and Ruber becomes unable to pull away. Ruber's soldiers revert to ordinary humans and the evil knight is destroyed by the following blasts of energy given off by the stone.
