Ruben Diaz Jr.

Ruben Diaz Jr. (b. 1973) represents District 85 in the New York State Assembly, which consists of Bronx River, Harding Park,Clason Point, Hunts Point and Soundview, all of which are located in the Southeastern portion of The Bronx.

First elected in 1996, Assemblyman Diaz is serving his sixth term in office, and is currently the Chairman of the Administrations Regulations Review Commission, as well as a member of numerous standing committees as well as the Puerto Rican and Hispanic Task Force and Black, Puerto Rican and Asian Legislative Caucus.

Diaz is the son of State Senator Ruben Diaz, and holds a bachelor's degree in Political Theory from the City University of New York.
