Rubano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Padua in the Italian region Veneto, located about 40 km west of Venice and about 7 km northwest of Padua. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 14,110 and an area of 14.6 km².[1]
The municipality of Rubano contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Sarmeola, Bosco, and Villaguattera.
Rubano borders the following municipalities: Mestrino, Padua, Saccolongo, Selvazzano Dentro, Villafranca Padovana.
