Ruan is a village situated between Ennis, Corofin, and Crusheen, County Clare, Ireland, near The Burren. This is an area where the old Irish family O'Casey originated from.

The area has contributed at all levels of gaelic Athletic Association hurling activities. The village has produced in particular Fitzgibbon cup hurling champions with Ennis, Galway and Cork RTC Regional Technical College teams during the 1980's and 1990's.
