This template is intended to simplify entering population information in the articles about Russian administrative divisions and inhabited localities.
- Parameters
Bolded parameters are mandatory; italicized parameters are optional.
- p1989 or p89: population recorded by the 1989 population Census
- p2002 or p02: population recorded by the 2002 population Census
- punct: trailing punctuation sign. A period (.) is the default.
- Examples
- Default output:
{{ru-census|p89=25123|p02=22,321}} → 22,321 (2002 Census);[1] 25,123 (1989 Census).[2]
- Use custom punctuation:
{{ru-census|p89=25123|p02=22,321|punct=;}} → 22,321 (2002 Census);[1] 25,123 (1989 Census);[2]
- Things to remember
Make sure that the article using this template contains a reference section. If it is not there, add the following at the bottom of the article:
