Is lagoon the right description for the water? The article on lagoon says it's saltwater.--JBellis 10:18, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

Possibly, though if so I suspect only in the lower pools. Leighton Moss is on low-lying land by the sea, and much of the foreshore on this part of Morecambe Bay is saltmarsh. It's a couple of miles from the normal tidal limit though. -- Blisco 11:16, 20 May 2006 (UTC)


Does anyone know the date that Leighton Moss reserve was first opened?
