My Opposition: the Diaries of Friedrich Kellner

Friedrich Kellner risked his life to record the misdeeds of the Nazis during WWII. His diary is an important document in our own struggle with the resurgence of terrorism. The first public showing of the diary was at the George Bush Presidential Library in the spring of 2005 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of VE-Day, Victory in Europe, which occurred on May 8, 1945. The Canadian documentary about Friedrich Kellner, "My Opposition: the Diaries of Friedrich Kellner" was produced in 2007.

A young woman in Israel created a YouTube video about Friedrich Kellner and his anti-Nazi stance and his WWII diary. Here is the YouTube web link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kJLE9zvo44

Next year, the Kellner diary will be on exhibit at the Dwight Eisenhower Presidential Library, and in November it will be at the United Nations to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Kristallnacht. A Canadian documentary about the diary will be shown at the United Nations during the exhibit of the diary.
