Robert Sedlar was born on June 22nd , 1977 in Nasice (Croatia), where he attended primary school and grammar school for natural sciences and mathematics. He graduated from College for accounting and trade at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek, High School in Požega, and majored in Foreign Trade.
He had military service on 1998, and was promoted to a reserve officer of the Croatian Armed Forces.
During the college he became a part-time journalist. First he worked for Slavonska televizija for almost two years, but, due to his hard work and persistence, but also knowledge, as he said, he has been called from Jutarnji list, and he was their permanent correspondent from Nasice from the first issue. He has also worked as a journalist and a marketing assistant for Slavonska televizija. For more than a year, 15 months to be exact, he worked for a private company Tehnoalarm in Nasice where he performed duties of a manager of indirect and direct sales of VIPnet services.
Driven by life challenges, but also genetic heritage, he wanted to prove himself in other fields as well, so, on 2002 he went to work as a receptionist in at the time the newest hotel on the Adriatic, hotel Zlatni lav (three stars) on the isle of Cres. Hotel is in private ownership, and his engagement is best explained by the recommendation of the owner and the chairman of the Supervisory board, as well as of the director of the hotel. After working at the hotel „Zlatni lav“ for two seasons, he work at the hotel „President“ in Zadar, at the position of the Sales &hotel manager. His engagement there is best explained by the recommendation of the owner, and at the beginning of April 2004 he went to marina „Frapa“ out of two reasons. The first was better financial offer, and the second was private-emotional. After the summer he received a truly attractive offer through agency Rendl & Piswanger to work at Generalturist, an offer he could not turn down because it meant a true advancement in his career, but also advancement in the line of work he likes. After two years in Generalturist he went in Speranza Travel agency where he worked on FIT and luxury travel arrangements for clients from USA. On April 01st 2008 he has become member of Adriatic Travel & Trade, one of best tour operators in Croatia. He has also own travel agency Adria Alpe Travel (www.adria-alpe-travel.hr)
He must emphasize that during all of his jobs and work experiences he was driven by persistence and wish to succeed, and he believes it is visible in the recommendations from his previous positions.
He is fluent in English and German, both orally and written, and has passive knowledge of Italian. He is advanced PC user and he has excellent knowlage in all office programs. He had a driving license since 1997, and he is currently driving a Fiat Albea.
Spouse: Antonija (aged 30), works at Primat RD Company at the position of the Management secretary.
Children: He hopes that he will be happy father very soon :-)
