[edit] suggesting a split due to page size

I would like to suggest that this article be split due to page size. As of this post, it is roughly 88KB. The guideline at WP:SPINOUT is a good read regarding this issue. Any comments?--Rockfang (talk) 16:32, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

Holy crap.. it is 88kb. I didn't think a list could get that big; and even taking the images out only reduces it to 86kb. If the article's to be split, along what lines would it be done? By century? --G2bambino (talk) 18:12, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
That seems like a logical method to me. I'd suggest copying the intro to each resulting article. The Royal_tours_of_Canada#Transportation, Royal_tours_of_Canada#See_also, and Royal_tours_of_Canada#External_links sections as well. The pictures could each be put on their corresponding articles. The resulting 19th century article might still be a bit big, but at least it won't be 88KB. I suggest waiting a few more days though for additional input before making any changes.--Rockfang (talk) 01:25, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
