Talk:Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The only link to "Buffs" seems to come in a context that suggests that they are using it as a synonym for "aficionado." Maybe we could fix this redirect to something like "Buffs(order)" so there's no confusion and that article has a proper red link (since that article references an etymological origin and thus can't be satisfied by changing the link to "enthusiast" or "aficionado" even if those were encyclopedic rather than dictionary topics). 71.37.61.147 10:54, 19 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Other meaning of RAOB
My father - a publican - hosted an RAOB lodge, he told me it meant "Ragged arsed old buggers"
- Yes my grandfather was a buff and he used that quote often too. I don't think it's an official title though! -- 86.132.156.213 22:53, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
