[edit] Location of crash site

I am an eyewitness of the crash. When it happened, I was located just north of Bazaar-e-Panjwaii (in the Panjwaii district west of the city of Kandahar) in a valley surrounded by a U-shaped mountain formation (you can see the valley in google earth).

I believe the location of the crash site, as refered in the text and as shown on the picture under the external site "Google Earth estimated location of crash site" (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/soizick/Ranterpix/crash.jpg), is erronous because:

1- I can't confirm where the villages of Chil Khor and Fatehullah Qala are, but the estimated crash site is not in the Panjwaii district; 2- the crash seemed to have happened on flat terrain contrary to the mountains seen on the picture (the vineyards refered to in the text should be on flat terrain, the mountains in the region are usually too steep for agriculture); 3- it would have been impossible for me to see the crash from where I was.

I believe that the estimated location of the crash, as seen on the picture, was plotted 25 miles WNW from the city center. Instead it should have been plotted 25 miles WNW from the airfield (which is 16 kilometers south-east of the city of Kandahar). This would give a location closer to what I have witnessed (I can't confirm the 25 miles WNW though).

I have edited the text to depict this revised crash location but I have not deleted the "Google Earth estimated location of crash site" link in case I am proven wrong in my assumptions.
