For some reason this page was nominated for AFD. Result was overwhelming keep, strangely enough. Regards, Ben Aveling 13:21, 24 January 2006 (UTC).

The reason it was nominated was that this page appeared to be a nn, corporate vanity page offering no info apart from that available on the company's website, and no explaination as to why its notable enough to get an encyclopedia entry. AnAn 02:16, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

It's a really big market research company with a long history that appears in the media all the time, is that not grounds for a wiki article? PeterPartyOn 14:00, 3 April 2006 (AEST)

[edit] Article composition

Is it just me or does this article seem like one giant advertisement for Roy Morgan? I also note that in terms of Australian state and federal polling, Newspoll is always far more accurate with their predictions compared to the election outcome in comparison to Roy Morgan... not to slag Roy Morgan in any way but it's just what i've noticed and what others would notice if they look at the figures... Roy Morgan research is the currency for Print Media in Australia. This is significant as most publishers and agencies use the Roy Morgan data to spend their advertising dollars. If Roy Morgan suggest a newspaper or magazine have increased in readership the add agencies and publishers change their rates accordingly. I'm not plugging RMR but it is wikipedia worthy imo. I'm going to further de-peacock the above paragraph.
Also, in the absence of sources, I'm going to rephrase the sentence "The Morgan Poll is Australia’s only independent polling company..." to "Roy Morgan Research is the only Australian–owned independent polling company..." — I'm thinking of GfK or TNS.
I'm also going to add Template:unreferenced. Michael Bednarek (talk) 10:59, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
