Talk:Roy L. Dennis
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Article states Roy was born in 1964, died in 1978, but link at bottom mentions births in 1961, deaths in 1980. Which dates are correct?
Verified RD's vital dates in a news article, http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/obituaries/2003437994_tullisobit19.html (the right answer was apparently '61'-'78). Fixed. Also mother's name was Florence, not Francais, according to this article. 24.116.168.239 06:24, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Wow... google-scoring leaves me with a couple hundred each on articles calling the mother Florence and Francais. About gave up, but then I saw this: http://www.examiner.com/a-405222~Correction__Tullis_obituary.html Rocky went to School at Sandberg JR. High in Glendora California. My sister went to school with him. I'd love if she would share some stories about him.

Local Correction: Tullis
The Associated Press Nov 17, 2006 3:28 PM (31 days ago) Current rank: Not ranked MONTEBELLO, Calif. - In a Nov. 15 obituary for "Rusty" Tullis, The Associated Press erroneously reported her given name. She was named Florence, not Francais, according to her niece, Helen Cunningham. Tullis was portrayed by Cher in the movie "Mask."

"wittily named" - is that supposed to be a dig? what's the point of using it? nice work otherwise, buy keep the editorialising to a minimum so the content doesn't suffer.
For people who read these words of wit, eat those little balls of .... ahem. Uhhhh. 68.13.191.153 18:47, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Birth and Death years
- He's birth 1964, died 1980 (see Find a grave site). GoodDay 21:04, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
I can't find the 'Find a grave' source, also there's conflicting dates on other sources. The Tv character verison of Rocky, has the grave marking 1964-1980. I've put 'question marks' beside the dates, as there's conflicting sources. GoodDay 21:14, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Poem about Rocky Dennis
I knew Rocky when we were both kids. This poem that was written about him after Mask came out has always seemed powerful to me:
- Rocky Dennis had craniodiaphyseal dysplasia
- and there was nothing anybody could do about it
- not Cher nor Sam Elliot
- nor Barger nor Bogdanovich
- nor Eric Stolz, though he tried the hardest
- I heard that they keep his head in a jar
- at UCLA
- and it's some student's job to polish it
- the jar, not the head
[edit] Picture
Can someone sort out the caption to the picture? Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.46.44.195 (talk) 22:31, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
