Although Royston is better known as an Entertainment Producer/Director. He has also marked up many successes as a writer and innovator of original storylines. His experience has given him the eye for a good story and more importantly how to package it, stage it and direct it to gain the fullest value.

Royston has the necessary experience to originate and develop new teams and harmonize with existing teams and management structures both in the UK and Internationally.

In India Royston has already achieved strong programme and film making affiliations with Merchant Ivory trained Fahad Samar of Bombay Talkie productions, Anil Malhotra of Eagle Films (Bombay and Delhi Studios) and Siddhartha Basu & Karun Prabakaran of Synergy Communications. Under Royston’s direction they have, together, made over 350 top-rated and acclaimed programmes for the Indian market. Among them are DUNYA GOL HAI, AAO GUESS KARAN, JAANE KYA TOONE KAHI, JEENI ISI KA NAAM HAI, KAARVAN KISMAT KA & KHELO NUMBER KHELO.

As an enthusiastic creative programme maker Royston can turn any initial idea into a TV or Film reality. As an Independent producer / Director he has a healthy regard & respect for effective budgetary control.

Royston Mayoh is a television / film Producer / Director who, throughout his career, has specialised in the production of major Entertainment resulting in innovative and ground breaking high-rated successes in Comedy / Dance / Game shows / Lifestyle and Music. This has resulted in BAFTA nominations and many International Awards.

His work in the production of music earned him the prestigious New York International Gold award for his production of the pop music hit TV series RAZZMATAZZ. Included among the many music specials are BB KING, PEGGY LEE, ROD STEWART, SADE, and THE THREE TENORS & DONNA SUMMER.

Whilst majoring on mainly Broadcast projects, Royston has also been involved in corporate activities. He has directed AGMs for British Airways, the worldwide launch of the new Tailfins (also for British Airways), produced a Superdrug AGM at the NEC Birmingham, made various commercials for News International (The Sun, The News of the World, The Times) both on film and VT, directed the major 8 City national Flora Aerobathon event centred at Earls Court London and made many Telly-sales commercials and long-form videos for theatrical productions.

Royston also has a remarkable track record in TV Comedy, producing and directing many classic comedy TV series including the legendary, and quite disparate, shows starring KENNY EVERETT and TOMMY COOPER.

In terms of ‘Award’ shows Royston has directed the British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA Film Awards), the Evening Standard British Film Awards, the Channel [V] Music Awards in Delhi, the International Indian Film Awards in London and South Africa and produced, wrote and Directed The Good Food Awards for the BBC.

Internationally, Royston was responsible for producing and directing the TV Spectacular from the Ostend Casino, which launched the, now leading, Belgian Commercial Station VTM. Royston produced, directed and technically supervised the first colour programme from Australia, the first satellite broadcast from Tokyo and THIS IS YOUR LIFE from the USA. He has been Consultant for major programmes in France, Germany, Holland, Greece, Belgium, India, Australia, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.

Royston has directed two series for MBC featuring Arabic Music from the Abha Music Festival in Saudi Arabia and acted as Programme Consultant for the Mauritius Broadcasting Company.

In the UK Royston recently directed the launch (and then 26 shows) of the new 2003 series of the top-rated ITV daytime LIVE lifestyle show THIS MORNING for the Granada Media Group. He has also written and directed a 2-minute corporate commercial for an industrial integrated IBM software business package. Presently updating three TV entertainment titles originated by Royston for Indian TV. Produced the BBC Millennium Day26 hour Broadcast, and recently launched and produced a nine hour Live outside broadcast for Antix productions entitle MOST HAUNTED LIVE.

Royston has recently completed teaching a media course as a part time lecturer at North Trafford College and is currently consultant in Broadcast Media at Stockport College. Member of B.A.F.T.A – D.G.G.B. & B.E.C.T.U.
