Royal Teens
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Royal Teens were a rock and roll band formed in 1957 known for their single "Short Shorts", a #3 hit in the U.S. in 1958.[1] The follow-up single, 1959's "Believe me", hit #26.[1] They never recorded an album, and broke up in 1965. Member Bob Gaudio later became a member of The Four Seasons (group). 14 year-old member Al Kooper later founded the group Blood Sweat & Tears.
The song "Short Shorts" was used in commercials for Nair in the 1990s, sparking interest in the group.
