Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron

The Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron (RNSYS) claims to be the oldest yacht club in North America, but ceased to exist for several years in the 1950's as a result of internal squabbling.
It is located on the Northwest Arm of Halifax Harbour in Halifax, Nova Scotia. RNSYS is the finish line for the biennial Marblehead to Halifax Ocean Race which begins in Marblehead, Massachusetts.
