The term "The Royal Navy" without qualifications is used - even by non-Britons - for the navy of the United Kingdom, which was for centuries the world's most powerful navy and is still a formidable force.

  • Royal Hellenic Navy (Βασιλικό Ναυτικό) of the Kingdom Of Greece, 1833 - 1924 and 1936 - 1973 (now the Hellenic Navy (Πολεμικό Ναυτικό))
