The Royal Malaysian Intervarsity Debating Championship (commonly abbreviated as ROYALS) is the most prestigious debating event in Malaysia. Although only public universities are allowed to compete in this event, it is regarded as the biggest and the champions are regarded as the national champions of Malaysia for that year.
