Royal Terence Ivey (born December 20, 1981, in Harlem, New York) is an American professional basketball player in the NBA who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks. He started on the Benjamin N. Cardozo High School in Queens, New York City.[1] After a college career at the University of Texas at Austin, in which he finished as the school's all-time career leader in games started (126),[2] he was a second round draft choice of the Atlanta Hawks in the 2004 NBA Draft.
On September 18, 2007, Ivey signed a one-year contract with the Bucks.[2]

While with Atlanta, Ivey's teammates gave him the nickname "Cheese", a reference to the notable "Royale with cheese" exchange in the 1994 Quentin Tarantino film Pulp Fiction.[3]
