Royal Guard Of Oman Technical College (RGOTC) is a public college in Seeb, Oman, owned by the Royal Guard and founded by Sultan Qaboos Al Saeed.
Study at the college begins after the 4th year of school. Candidates must complete two exams, in math and Arabic, and the top 10% can be admitted to the college.

In 2006, construction should have began on a new building which will encompass the entire college. The new building is postponed to 2008.

Because students start at an early age, courses cover the basics plus extra lessons:
- Workshop (Beginning in 2nd year)
- Mechanical Engineering (Beginning in 3rd year, instead of Workshop if working towards BTEC diploma)
- Technical drawing (Beginning in 3rd year).
- Electronics (Beginning 5th year).

In the Mechanical Engineering Lessons of the BTEC students design things such as : Cars (small size car not the shown below),Candle holder , Knives and Screw Driver and so many other things for each year , Some times they have to change the thing they have to make because it may seem very hard to do , In year 9 student do bigger projects. This thing below is called the Secured City that have been designed by the Year 9 students in April 2004 .

BTEC is one of the leading examining and awarding bodies in the UK and throughout the world. They provide a wide range of qualifications including GCSEs, GCE, AS, and A levels; GNVQs, BTEC First, National, and Higher National Certificates and Diplomas; NVQs; Key Skills and Entry Qualifications and specific programmes for employers.

The adoption of technological learning and assessment programmes, designed initially for post-secondary students in the UK, require RGOTC student to have above-average English language skills if they are to successfully complete their courses of study.

The College was registered as an International General Certificate of Secondary Education centre in 1994. To give high ability students as wide range of qualifications as possible, increasing numbers of students are being entered for these University of Cambridge IGCSE examinations in English as a second language, mathematics, physics, Arabic language, and information technology.
[edit] Work experience
As students start year 6 and 7 .students are given the chance to experience work outside the classroom so they can appreciate the link between education and possible future careers. In year 6 these placements are for two weeks, one week in each of two factories on the Rusayl Industrial Estate. In the following year, year 7, the students are given the chance to apply to various companies for three weeks of work experience. In the history of the college, companies such as Schlumberger Overseas, Petroleum Development Oman and Byrne Desert Drilling have accepted students to get this internship with them.
In Year 6, Each group consists of three or four students are sent to a factory in Rusayl Industrial Estate that agree to train these students for two weeks , some factories have stopped acceping students to train with them where the the college adminstration have looked for another factroies that accepted them on to work . accepted students to work withem but resently stopped.

In Year 7 , Students puts three choices to join the place to work at which are given to choose from .The college adminstration try to put the students to the first choice if not to the second then the third . Students stays three weeks instead of two as for year 6
