Roy Gardner (businessman)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sir Roy Gardner was the former chairman of Manchester United. He resigned soon after Malcolm Glazer took over control the club and made the club private, as chairmen are not required in private limited companies. The other independent non-executive directors also resigned, for the same reason.
He was the CEO of Centrica plc until 2006, when he left to become non-executive chairman of Compass Group plc.
He also chairs the Apprenticeship Ambassadors Network.
