Roy Brown (born 1951 in Casper, Wyoming) is an American State Senator from Billings, Montana. He has served four terms in the Montana House of Representatives and was elected to the State Senate in 2007. He is currently running for the Governor seat in Montana with Steve Daines.

Brown was born in Casper, Wyoming in 1951, but his family relocated to Montana in 1955. He attended grade school and high school in Billings. After working in the oil fields as a roughneck he enroll at Montana Tech university in Butte, Montana where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering.
His career in energy development took him around the world. However, in 1983 he returned to Billings to raise his family and start a small business.

In 1998 Brown started his career as a public servant when he ran his first successful campaign for the Montana House of Representatives. His leadership ability was recognized by his legislative peers, and in 2002 he was selected as the House Majority Leader.
Since 1999, he has fought for lower taxes to stimulate economic growth, an accountable and fiscally responsible state budget, energy development, and for the important role of empowered traditional family life.

Brown has announced his intention to challenge incumbent Brian Schweitzer for Governor of Montana. He chose Steve Daines as his Lt. Governor.
